01/06/2016 – The Netherlands – No established cell phone cancer link says the Health Council of The Netherlands (Report): Based on the epidemiological and experimental data from two previous reports updated with recent information, the Electromagnetic Fields Committee of the Health Council of the Netherlands has drawn overall conclusions on the relationship between exposure to cell phones RF fields and the risk of cancer.
06/05/2016 – Australia – A large survey shows no connection between cell phones and brain cancerUsing data from the Australian national cancer registry, epidemiologists from Sidney University analyzed age and gender specific brain cancer incidence rates among 19,858 men and 14,222 women diagnosed between 1982 and 2012. The data from the cancer registry was matched against mobile phone usage data from 1987 to 2012. The authors of the survey found no increase in brain cancer incidence compatible with the steep increase in mobile phone use in Australia. The study, just published online, is now making its way in the media with mostly positive articles.
6/06/2015: Sweden – No convincing evidence of health risks from cell phones says SSM The Scientific Council on Electromagnetic Fields of the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM) has released its tenth report on electromagnetic fields (EMF) and health. “In line with previous studies, new studies on adult and childhood cancer with improved exposure assessment do not indicate any health risks for the general public related to exposure from radiofrequency electromagnetic fields from far-field sources, such as base stations and radio and TV transmitters.
